Vintage Barbie Sears THE YELLOW GO #1816 (1967), Mattel
THIS SET WAS SOLD EXCLUSIVELY AT SEARS DEPARTMENT STORE.
DESCRIPTION
HOOD
Barbies original yellow cotton hood with the blue ball on top and check silk lining is in very good condition. The heavy yellow cotton is clean and stain free. The material is slightly faded with possible faint dust marks (upon close inspection). The blue check silk lining is clean and stain free. The material is free of snags, pulls and repairs. This material too is slighlty faded. The original blue ball shows light fading. All seams are secure. The original snaps are secure and functioning as well. Zero repairs.
COAT
Barbies original yellow cotton coat with the blue check silk lining is in very good condition. The heavy yellow cotton is stain free. The material is slightly faded with possible faint dust marks (upon close inspection). The original gold beads are secure, all retain their luster. The original "hook" and "eye" are secure. The blue check silk lining is clean and stain free. The blue check silk material is free of snags, however, there is one pull along the hemline below the hook on the inner left side of the coat. There is also a small pull/tear along the bottom inner center hemline of the coat. I have made zero attempts to repair the flaws. The blue silk check material too is slighlty faded. The hood and the coat match perfectly in color, the pieces are original to one another. Zero repairs.
STOCKINGS
The yellow stockings are not the original stockings to the set, however, they are vintage Mattel and a nice replacement. One small tear can be found along the leg hole of each stocking. Each stocking has functioning elastic with zero pulls or tears to the yellow lace. Zero repairs.
SHOES
The blue bow shoes are not original to the set, however, they are a nice replacement. The blue bow shoes are in excellent condition. Non faded and stain free with zero knicks to the squishy plastic. Each shoe is stamped JAPAN.
HANGER
The white Barbie filigree hanger is in excellent condition.
