Antique Edwardian OpalBrooch in 9ct Solid Gold

A Beautiful Swallow landing on a Wishbone

There is no stamp or hallmark as this was not always required at this period in time.

However, we have had this brooch tested by sophisticated equipment and the brooch tests as solid9ct gold.

This brooch is so sweet indicating good luck and affection.

The design is of a wishbone and s beautiful carved Swallow flying towards the Opal.

The oval Opal measures 7.5mm x 6.5mm and has a slight chip by the one claw but this is not noticeable to the eye.

The Swallow measures 27mm from the tip of the wing to other tip.

The length of the brooch is 55mm and the depth is 12mm

The pin, hinge and c clasp are strong and in good working order.

The weight of the brooch is a substantial 4.78 grams

This brooch is a beautiful example ofEdwardianJewellery and has been well treasured as a family piece.
