In the original publishers cloth bindings and unclipped dust wrappers. The dust wrappers are very scarce.
Complete in six volumes, this collection has five out of the six and is missing Volume I.
A lovely biography of Madame DArblay told through a collection of diaries and letters by her niece, Charlotte Barrett.
Illustrated throughout. Volume II has twelve monochrome plates, Volume II has eleven, Volume IV also has eleven, Volume V has fourteen and Volume VI with sixteen. Collated, complete.
Frances Burney, more commonly known as Madame dArblay was an English satirical novelist and diarist.
CONDITION
In the original publishers cloth bindings and unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, smart. The dust wrappers have some loss to the extremities, particularly to volumes III and IV. To the binding, there is some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities, resulting in some slight wear to the cloth in these areas. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
