DESCRIPTION
Two first edition volumes of work by the Scottish juvenile fiction author, R. M. Ballantyne.

A sixteen page catalogue to the rear of both volumes. With four plates, a frontispiece and vignette title page.
The Hot Swamp A Romance of Old Albion is a work of juvenile fiction of remote antiquity. With four plates, a frontispiece and illustrated title.

A prize bookplate to the front pastedown of The Hot Swamp dated 1909. A presentation inscription to the front pastedown of Black Ivory dated 1904. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages.
