Louis-Paul Paquereau, né le 17 janvier 1871, dans le 9e arrondissement de Paris, ville où il est mort le 2 mars 1956 dans le 16e arrondissement, est un décorateur de théâtre et un peintre français.
Dorigine familiale normande, Paul Paquereau débute au Salon des indépendants de 1924.
Il est proche de Charles Dufresne, de Raoul Dufy et dOthon Friesz avec lesquels il a exposé.
Il peint des aquarelles aux couleurs vives, réalisées sur le motif dans le pays niçois, la Normandie, le Sud-Ouest de la France et notamment le Quercy où il réside souvent.
Paul Paquereau enseigne les techniques de la décoration à Paris et devient ensuite décorateur et marchand de tableaux dans sa galerie située au 17, rue Mazarine à Paris, quil ouvre en 1904.
Au théâtre, il conçoit des décors pour des spectacles dAndré Antoine, Jacques Copeau, Lugné-Poe, et pour les Ballets russes, la Comédie-Française, le Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, le théâtre de lOdéon et le Metropolitan Opera de New York, lOpéra de Philadelphie, lOpéra de Chicago et de Londres.
Sa maison éclusière de Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (Lot) devient son lieu de villégiature où il rencontre de nombreux artistes comme André Breton, Adrien Dax, Pierre Toulouse, Toyen, Man Ray, Wolfgang Paalen, Alechinsky ou Christian dOrgeix

Louis-Paul Paquereau, born January 17, 1871, in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, the city where he died on March 2, 1956 in the 16th arrondissement, is a French theater decorator and painter. Of Norman family origin, Paul Paquereau started at the Salon des Indépendants in 1924. He was close to Charles Dufresne, Raoul Dufy and Othon Friesz with whom he exhibited. He paints brightly colored watercolors, made on the motif in the country of Nice, Normandy, the South-West of France and in particular Quercy where he often resides.
Paul Paquereau taught decoration techniques in Paris and then became a decorator and art dealer in his gallery located at 17, rue Mazarine in Paris, which he opened in 1904.
In the theater, he designs sets for shows by André Antoine, Jacques Copeau, Lugné-Poe, and for the Ballets Russes, the Comédie-Française, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Théâtre de lOdéon and the Metropolitan Opera of New York, the Philadelphia Opera, the Chicago Opera and London.
His lock keeper in Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (Lot) became his holiday resort where he met many artists such as André Breton, Adrien Dax, Pierre Toulouse, Toyen, Man Ray, Wolfgang Paalen, Alechinsky or Christian dOrgeix
